It has been present in Portugal since 1972, when it introduced the 7UP brand to the Portuguese market. Later, in 1987, the company acquired Laprovar, owner of the Pála-Pála potato brand, further consolidating its position in the country. Today it sells well-known brands in the drinks and food sector such as Pepsi, Lipton Ice Tea, Gatorade, Lay's, Ruffles, Doritos, 7UP, Mountain Dew, Mirinda, Tropicana, Quaker, Cheetos, Fritos, Crunchy, Karamucho, among others.
As part of its sustainability roadmap, PepsiCo has implemented several energy control, reduction and efficiency projects with Ewen at the Carregado plant.
